FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Troy, MI – June 14, 2016 – The leadership of Residential Healthcare Group, Troy, MI and Celtic Healthcare, Mars, PA announced this week that the two companies will be merging on July 1, 2016 to form Graham Healthcare Group, a subsidiary of Graham Holdings Company.
Celtic Healthcare and Residential Healthcare Group are both majority owned by Graham Holdings Company, Arlington, VA, and the two companies have had a longstanding business relationship. Together this merged company will be serving close to 10,000 patients.
‘Having one larger organization under the umbrella of Graham Holdings Company will allow us to gain economies of scale to streamline processes, partner and collaborate with healthcare delivery systems, and enhance and add new programs for chronic care management, post-acute, and end-of-life care,’ states David Curtis, President, Residential Home Health.
‘Though we have much in common from a service line perspective and cultural perspective, each of our teams brings different strengths to the table,’ adds Justin DeWitte, President, Residential Hospice. ‘This will be a great advantage in allowing us to ultimately share best practices, strategies, systems, and programs with each other to form the greatest hospice and homecare team in the nation.’
For integrated delivery systems, hospitals, physician groups, and senior living communities, Celtic Healthcare and Residential Healthcare Group are able to offer a wide array of services from care transition coordination support to electronic medical record integration and e-portal technology to community education.
‘Residential Healthcare Group is an extremely well-managed, innovative, and forward-thinking company that shares Celtic’s patient-centered mission and values,’ states Arnie Burchianti, CEO, Celtic Healthcare. ‘It is a privilege and honor to partner with them.’
‘This collaboration will strengthen both Celtic and Residential in a way that positions us for future sustainability,’ continues Burchianti. ‘This merger is taking two great organizations and making them even better. This larger organization will provide better job security for our hospice and home health teams. It will better equip us to face the changing and challenging healthcare environment. It will allow us to work smarter, not harder. Multiplying the strengths of our two organizations will make for a bigger and better healthcare organization of the future. And most of all, this integration will allow us to care for more patients with the right care at the right time and in the right place according to their wishes with the extraordinary care that you all provide.’
